Unifrom and public services thing

What we talked about during our discussion:

• I talked about how if you where joining the army you will need very good stamina, and a very good fitness level. You will need stamina because if you need to run long range to get something or run from something then you will need stamina. With the fitness you cant just rock up to the army with no strength or anything. You will be carrying equipment on patrol, On front line you will be carrying weapons and kits. You are also going to need teamwork skill, Because you need to work with someone in the force. You should never be asked to go in the zone alone. 
• Also Ben and Luke brung up about you co-operative work. They said you will need goo co oprative skills if your going to be on the front line of the army. You will need to know what people are telling you over the radio or perhaps if someone gives you a certain sign you will know that means "fallback" or "go in" or something like that.

Unit 2 P2

D1-Unit 2

Well if you where a person who has good attitude and all the other stuff described the i would recommend either a office worker or an i.t technition as there the sorts of jobs that would go very well of all the skills, For a office worker if you had good communication skills you could communicate with people in the office and if you where a i.t technition if you had to do a computer repair than you could communicate while fixing it but also for a i.t technition you would have good problem solving so you could quickly work out what the fault with the computer is.

P1-Unit 2

Industry:  If you want to join the IT industry then you will have to have a bit of knowledge about computers and communications and  what different protocols are. You should really have advanced knowledge about computers but you dont have to. You should also know about wi-fi and how to protect your self from viruses and Internet security, You also need to know About your saftey&health with computers, for example  eye problems, making sure all the cables are in the computer correctly. For your working procedures you should have  half decent typing rate on the keyboard. And not to make any mistakes but if you do you have to be able to notice them mistakes.

General:  The general skills you should have for going into a IT industry is that you need personal skills on a computer, for example- being able to type fast on a keyboard, being able to log on quick and get on with your job.
You should also have good communication skills such as talking with your college and with other people in your workplace. You should also have good organisation skills as if your typing 10 documents every week then you will need places to store them and you cant just let them build up on your desktop or a folder you created years ago, you are also going to need good problem solving skills- for example if your computer saves one of your documents to a folder you will need to find it, or if your internet cuts off you will need to check if the Ethernet cable is still in the socket

Attitudes: When working in a IT industry you will need patience and a good attitude as computers do receive technical faults sometimes but thats where your problem solving should come in, Also old worn out computers do freeze time to time and that can get annoying but if you have good patience then it will be fine, also you will need a good attitude to talk to your colleges to as if you have a bad attitude they wont like you.
Your going to need alot of self confidence because you might be promoting a slideshow at a conference and if your shy and not confident then thats going to look bad on you at conference day.  

Unit 14 p6+M3

Social life:

The impacts Personal technology has in social life is that people no longer have face to face talk- When we didn't have mobile phones people would not be behind a screen Talking- 

Also mobile phones can have a major impact on health of the eyes. If you are on you phone for 4 hours a day you will have very bad eye sight when you get to a older age-Some of these effects include, blindness, eye strain, muscle pain from the back of your eye. 

The law:

The law's technology can be a big issue at times- The bad impacts of these include hacking- If someone hacks into a police database system they can find out what drug raids- stolen cars- arrests are all being done that day or week- For example there was a drug raid happening on 23rd of april and someone hacked there database on 24th of april, They will be able to find out who got arrested, what got took from the property as well as much more information

Another impact for the law is piggybacking.

This is basically if you have a laptop but do not have internet but your neighbor does,and you yous it this is a crime! Because when you use someones internet you can get into someone personal files-and thats the similar to hacking which is also a crime. 

The help that's been put in place!

For social life if you get eye strain and you get really bad eyes you can go to the Optitcin and maybe you can get contact lenses, Or even glasses- The things that have been put in place to improve face to face talk is football teams- social clubs-Also if you have worked 1 whole hour on a computer your entitled to a 15 minuet break. Also there is facetime and skype which are social camera programs where you can see the other person and your screen and you can talk to them via your microphone.

For the Law orders have been put in place that if you hack into people accounts or do  piggy backing then you will be charged and perhaps if its very serious you can get a jail sentence- One of these laws of 18 U.S.C.1098 and that is basically says if you hack a internet and download files there will be a charge against that person. Also the way you can protect you internet is by putting a password on your Home hub and you can put" Windows defender" and you can put your firewall on via your control panel.

Unit 14 p5

If a delivery service wanted to improve there service with mobile technology i would suggest the Blackberry curve 9032, This phone for only £5 lets you have bbm(Black berry messanger)  for a month, this would improve there service because they cant communicate without SMS or call which will waste your call time credit, also the courier service could perhaps make a deal with Blackberry? maybe for 100 phones it will only cost £80 for all the bbm?  This way if they miss a parcel they can bbm the to let them know and this could help with faster delivery and more money as there quicker, and maybe they can get recommended on websites.
